Director & CEO
Imu founded Zen Drafting Studio after more than 10 years in construction project management, including 5 years working closely with council approvals and compliance.
He leads design and documentation on every project, from the first site check to DA, CDC and construction drawings. He brings a builder's eye to every plan, so the drawings are practical to price, approve and build.
Principal Architectural Designer & Managing Director
Farzana is an architectural designer with more than 10 years of residential design experience, including work with leading design and construction firms. She leads our design team and sets the standard for every drawing set that leaves the studio.
From the first layout sketch to final DA, CDC and construction documentation, she makes sure each home is well planned, beautifully resolved and documented properly for council, the certifier and the builder.
Marketing & Operations Manager
Sam keeps every project moving. He's usually your first point of contact, scheduling each drawing round with the drafting team and making sure you know exactly where your project is at every week.
He also leads our marketing. You'll recognise him from our videos, where he breaks down DA, CDC and site questions for homeowners, builders and investors.
Drafter
Samiha turns confirmed designs into clear, accurate drawing sets: floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans and the details councils and certifiers look for.
She's careful with the small things that cause big delays, like matching every sheet, checking setbacks and levels against the survey, and keeping BASIX commitments in step with the plans.
Civil Engineer
Efaz looks after the civil side of our projects, including stormwater concepts, site levels, drainage and driveway grades, so the design works on the ground as well as on paper.
Bringing civil input in early helps avoid surprises from council and keeps documentation consistent from the DA stage through to construction.
Civil & Site Engineer
Syed is our engineer on the ground. He handles site inspections and measure-ups, checking existing conditions, levels and services before design starts.
On site, he's the link between the drawings and the build, helping builders read the documentation and resolving questions quickly so work keeps moving.
AI presenter
Tess is the AI presenter in some of our videos, explaining DA, CDC, BASIX and other drafting topics in plain English. She isn't a real person. Our real team prepares every drawing set and looks after your project.
